The Increase The Peace (ITP) has spread its wings and is developing relationships with young people across Europe.
The international recognition started in 2010 when ITP organised a youth exchange trip to Kecskemet in Hungary. This initial trip allowed 21 young people to visit Hungary and perform in the local Csipero festival in the town. With the young people aged between 11 and 21 years old, they successfully sung, rapped and danced their way into the host countries hearts!
In 2011 the youth exchange was reciprocated with 21 young people coming from Hungary to visit Gloucester, where they were treated to a full range of activities, trips and events. It was a hugely enjoyable and successful trip that bonded the relationship between the countries further.
In 2012 the Mayor of the Csipero festival personally invited ITP to return to Hungary once again to perform. 23 young people were taken to Hungary, where again they performed successfully and acted as fine ambassadors for both Increase The Peace and Gloucestershire.
The 2012 trip to Hungary allowed us to meet youth organisations from 25 different countries, and as a result of this ITP has been invited to visit and perform in Austria and France in 2013.
There are many young people from all over the World following Increase The Peace on Facebook and Twitter, and we look forward to developing relationships and sharing our message with people from all over the world.
